I like how isolationist the picture is... I can't tell whether that was intentional or not, but it's really bold. The only issue I have is that some of the buildings seem to be somewhat blurred (note that I'm still giving you 4.5 because I suck at drawing buildings and this is still quite detailed in and of itself). The clouds also provide an interesting looming symbolism as juxtaposed to the giant wall bearing down on the city.

I haven't checked out the art portal in a while, but it's nice to know that you're still awesome, and getting better, too. The spirituality contained within a lot of these is very evident--as it is badass-- and I can't help but like that you've retained your 'tiki-ness.' It also seems that you've gotten better at drawing women. I truly envy your ability to draw structures and buildings (not to mention robots). I really like the octopus with extra limbs and coral on its head. Great work, dude.

You've got such a talent for anthropomorphism; many do, but not to the amazing extent to which you drew this. I really like the intimidating stance and the pelt (though the latter was a bit redundant--and that doesn't mean it doesn't look epic). If this only took you 2 hours, I bet you could make a whole army in a day. I suppose I underestimated your abilities (even though I initially thought they were pretty damned good to begin with). You should really keep drawing stuff like this. You've got a real interesting and unique style; this drawing in particular is sort of reminiscent of Tony the Tiger but as a badass Spartan juggernaut.

Haha thanks, so this is called anthromophic art huh, i just got the idea of drawing man like animals from the tv show "thundercats",and yeah it took me 2hr3m. thanks for the great review and i really like that badass spartan juggernaut idea.

Dude, this is sick. I love the altered proportions and how you captured such a nonchalant pose. The subject of a tiger smoking is also just epic. Although the colors are a bit plain (I suck at color myself), I really like that you still added some in the first place. I like where you're going with the street corner idea; you should keep going (if only to sketch out a little patch of road and make a real trippy design in the background).

Thanks and yeah i guess i suck at coloring (its my first time coloring my drawings using a computer) but i'll improve :D, i guess i'll continue this after ive finished what im currently workin on.. thanks again dude!

It seems as though the brightness of this picture would be deterring; however, it actually provides an interesting aesthetic. I really like how subtle the freckles are. The only criticism I have is that the chin should probably be facing up if the nose is in that kind of a position (i.e. up). It may be, however, that that was just the style of nose you felt like drawing. In any case, I really like what you've done. The ethereal swirling hair reminds me of flaaffly or some other strange cloud-like Pokemon.

Brilliant line work! I really like all the pyramids and the ventricle-looking entanglement in the figure's head. The aforementioned symbolism makes me think of the Illuminati, actually; regardless, I really just like how precise and strange this is.

Rutger responds:

Thanks! I really like hearing people's subjective thoughts about my artwork, it's very interesting to hear everybody's different interpretations and feelings.

This is beautiful! I love the blood and the demented anthropomorphism! It's great that you were able to get such a clearly defined black background too (mine usually come out kind of sketchy looking). This, however is really detailed and precise - very precise, actually. The teeth within the beak and the devil-tailed tongue are brilliant ideas. I also like the skinny, t-rex length claws that appear to be ripping itself apart. The head reminded me of a holocephali at first.

Zeppelyn responds:

Thank you, I appreciate it.

Nice. The leaves are quite simple, but I really like the idea, and how you drew the bird on the branch and the cat. Strangely, I would expect the cat to look more stylized (similar to the bird), but I still like either.

This is awesome! It's like some sort of high-tech tanker of sorts. It's relatively confusing in that I can't tell how this would be implemented in space (I see the rail, but I can only imagine how it would be used); regardless, I think that the level of complexity is interesting.

Nice shading on this. I can sort of feel some kind of ambient lighting from behind (though the cheek and the right side of the coat sort of conflict with one another- in terms of lighting anyways. I really like the background's rough look. Cardboard? One gripe I have with this is the shading around the collar. It just seems inconsistent and rushed.

Old NG rat. Much love.
